Guiding that mission today from the engineering side is Joe D'Appolito, who joined Snell as chief engineer in 2003. Best known for developing the D'Appolito Array, Mr. D'Appolito has designed commercial loudspeakers for more than 20 years, including many designs for some of the industry's best driver manufacturers. He is the author of Testing Loudspeakers, the premier book on the subject.
